Update to the Silverwood Entertainment Post

Original post here.

Response to that post was...interesting, to say the least. Ended up unexpectedly having quite a few private conversations about what I wrote. And as my teen daughter would say, I've got tea. A lot of tea. I've got so much tea that if I went to Boston, it might spark a revolution. 😂

But that's not for public consumption...at this point at least. I do want to clarify a few things about what I wrote in that original post.

  1. It's not my intention to lay responsibility at the feet of the performers in any way, shape, or form. They are just trying to make due with what they were given in terms of script, direction, etc.
  2. To that end, I don't know enough about the behind the scenes to know where the responsibility does lie.
  3. So to THAT end, my point was/is to express what I'm seeing and experiencing, because I believe it is hurting and will continue to hurt Silverwood. And somewhat selfishly, I want to see Evanna excited for it again.

I did discover something interesting in those conversations after that first post. I had been sitting on the idea of this post for several weeks, but wasn't able to convey my thoughts well enough. As it turns out, the timing was incredibly coincidental as multiple staff/cast members...how shall I put this?...departed.

Going back to the original underdeveloped analogy though, the 49ers are having a really rough year--let's say 2003. We're halfway through the season or so...will adjustments be made, or is the team aiming for a top draft pick for next season instead? (As it turned out, the 2003 season they had a new head coach trying to improve on the previous season's 10-6 record, and ended up going 7-9, with Jeff Garcia at the helm for 5 of those wins, and 8 of those losses).

I'm hoping for adjustments, but I'm not laying down any money to bet on it.
