Baking Cookies

With snow cancelling all of our appointments and activities this past week, we've been enjoying a relaxing week at home. Today, Evanna asked to be in her stander, and I came up with the idea to bake cookies with her to pass the hour in the stander. I remembered that we have a height-adjustable table, and it worked brilliantly.

Scooping flour.

I leveled the scoops, and she poured them into the bowl.

Sifting the dry ingredients.

Creaming the butter and sugar. The hand mixer was too loud, but her new headphones worked well.

Scooping the dry mixture into the butter mixture.

Gotta lick the beaters.

Enjoying a fresh, warm cookie.

She's also been helping me make her morning blend by counting frosted shredded wheat biscuits as we put them in the blender and helping to add the other ingredients.

Evanna loves cooking. I think we will need to fit more of it into our schedule.

We like these Egg-Free Chocolate Chip Cookies better than Nestle, our old standby. It makes a small batch of about 16 small cookies.
